We don't create problems, we fix them.
To paraphrase Charles Dickens, it could be the best of times, or the worst of times.
Setting-up and launching a business, while the country is slowly sinking into the quicksand of a severe recession, would not be everyone’s idea of forward planning, but faith, as they say, can move mountains, and a firm conviction in your ability, and belief in what you are doing, are powerful allies.
ABCD Engineering opened the doors to its state-of-the-art facility in Croghan Industrial Estate in Arklow for the first time, in August, 2008. In the intervening period, the company, despite the general curtailment on spending imposed by a recession, has prospered.
The company specialises in the fabrication of stainless steel and aluminium. Due to its non-corrosive properties, and the fact that it’s cheaper than mild steel (when the cost of galvanisation is added), maintenance-free stainless steel is now the principal material in the manufacture of hand-rails, balconies and balustrades. Fitted glass can be supplied with assembled stainless hand-rails, which means convenience for the customer in a ‘One-Stop-Shop’ situation.
Every half-decent company wants to improve the way it operates, whether that means increasing market share, driving down costs, managing risk more effectively, or improving customer satisfaction. A quality management system gives ABCD Engineering the framework needed to monitor and improve performance in any area chosen.
ABCD is divided into two separate sectors- services and products. Services encompasses Pharmaceutical, Trade (Catering, Construction, Shopfitting and Display) and domestic including walk in custom, while the products section concentrates on products we manufacture, be it on request or to fit an ongoing project.
Catering to their customers’ needs, ABCD understand that the immediate supply of high-quality products alone may not provide complete customer satisfaction. It has to be coupled with a first-rate after-sales service, to accommodate the (sometimes) emergency nature of customers’ requirements. After-Sales and Consultancy (advice on suitability of materials, flexibility in price structuring, and the cheaper alternatives available) is implemented in all projects.
